K-Tor Pocket Socket Featured in Boston MAPC Emergency Kits

K-Tor® recently shipped more than 100 units to MAPC for use in emergency and disaster relief kits.  The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) is a regional planning agency serving the people who live and work in the 101 cities and towns of Metropolitan Boston.

MAPC works toward sound municipal management, sustainable land use, protection of natural resources, efficient and affordable transportation, a diverse housing stock, public safety, economic development, an informed public, and equity and opportunity among people of all backgrounds.

MAPC mentioned that the reason they selected the Pocket Socket over competing hand crank generators was its compatibility with Apple products, including the iPhone and iPad.  Unlike competing products, the Pocket Socket can charge a full range of portable electronic devices: batteries, lights, phones, radios, cameras and more!

Fortunately our shipment to MAPC arrived before Hurricane Irene swept through the east coast.

How long would you have to crank The Power box to fully charge a power tool battery.

    Thank you

Our devices work with the Factory provided charger and the charge rate is limited by the charger not our generator. The charge rate is the same as plugging in a wall outlet.
